Burning a large, heavy knife and machete hybrid into the wild

The knife is made of 14 260 steel, the so-called spring steel. This steel guarantees perfect cutting and durability with a hardness after hardening of approx. 60 HRC. It can be easily hardened and tempered in domestic conditions, yet it can be sent to us to be tempered after sharpening -here. With a suitable, preferably low cut and grind, this is the perfect shape for making a chopping knife or smaller machete. The handle is very wide and is therefore designed for a really large palm. Others can adjust its width and shape to their liking on a belt sander or flexo. It is annealed and must be tempered after grinding. It can be pre-drilled, roughly sanded and then hardened. Then finish the cut on a belt grinder. The weight of the burr is 0,6 Kg.
