Tung oil (or Chinese wood oil, tung oil) is used to treat wooden surfaces. It is darker and more durable than linseed oil. It provides wood with excellent water and abrasion resistance, so it can also be used outdoors or on garden furniture. Indoors, it is great for treating surfaces in areas with higher humidity, such as bathrooms and kitchens.

You can also mix linseed with tung oil.

1 litre of oil (or diluted mixture) will last for about 10-15 m2, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

                       4:1 - 10:1 (tung oil:orange oil)

After soaking in the oil, excess oil should be wiped off or there is a risk of shiny, wrinkled and sticky areas. Do not throw oil-soaked textiles in a pile and do not leave them wrinkled. Before disposal, seal them in airtight containers or leave them to dry, spread out in a well-ventilated area.

It is recommended to apply several coats each time after the previous one has dried. In case of outdoor application, the treatment must be renewed depending on weather conditions.
