K110 steel is a high carbon tool steel for cold forming. Sometimes the designation D2 is used. The steel is manufactured by Bohler. This steel is not stainless , because it does not contain enough chromium, but it is very resistant to deep corrosion and produces a typical metallic matt finish in use.
