Width and length tolerance is 1.5mm!!!!!! Before hardening, it is necessary to leave a lot of material for subsequent deburring of very common deformations. It is necessary to leave a minimum of 1mm on the cut before hardening, but it is better to leave more!!! Steel 14 260/ 54SiCr6 is a spring steel, suitable for making springs, long blades such as swords, machetes or combat knives. For knife blades the recommended hardness is 52-58HRC, for long blades such as machetes and swords - 52-56HRC. The advantage of steel is its high toughness (resistance to breakage). The disadvantage is low corrosion resistance.

Steel is shipped annealed, not straightened, and may exhibit corrosion.

Fittings 1100 to 800 °C
Standard annealing 840 to 860 °C
Soft annealing 700 to 740 °C
Oil quenching 800 to 830 °C
Tempering 340 to 410 °C
