A pair of plates from the horn of a ZEBU tura with an interesting pattern resembling the scaly surface of mammoth

The plates are used to make knife blades with full tang construction. The material is natural and may not be completely straight.
The surface is polished and we do not recommend to further deburr it. This would lose the unique pattern.

Each slice is subject to deformation. It is a natural material, hornblende. We therefore recommend a good quality adhesive e.g. UHU PLUS endfest 300 24 ml and a minimum of 3 anchoring to the blade ideally with a Corby rivet e.g. Corby stainless steel rivet, head 6,4. Distortion alignment is very easy and need not be feared when attached correctly. We also recommend a fibre such as G10

as an intermediate layer between the knife and the corner.

Can be polished to a high gloss on a polishing wheel e.g. Molino polishing wheels using a polishing paste, ideally Maxfin- polishing paste
