Uddeholm Sleipner is a high alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel with a very wide profile of properties. It is also a very good steel for all kinds of surface finishes. It is characterized by good resistance to cutting wear, good resistance to facet chipping, hardness greater than 60 HRC even after higher tempering temperatures. It is also characterised by dimensional stability in the hardening process. It resists self-demolition very well up to 300°C. It is well machined in the annealed condition supplied by us.
