Water buffalo horn plate

Platelets are used to make knife blades with full tang construction, or as layers in the construction of the tang. The material is natural and does not have to be completely flat.

Practically every slice is more or less dented and therefore we recommend a good quality glue e.g. UHU PLUS endfest 300 24 ml and a minimum of 3 anchoring to the blade ideally with a Corby rivet e.g. Corby stainless steel rivet, head 6,4. Bent alignment is very easy and need not be feared when properly attached. We also recommend as an intermediate layer between the knife and the fibre horn, e.g. Red fibre

You can polish to a high gloss on a polishing wheel e.g. Molino polishing wheels using a polishing paste, ideally Maxfin- polishing paste
