Top-quality powder steel produced by powder metallurgy

A corrosion-resistant, martensitic, high-alloy chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy by Bohler. It is characterised by its almost unbelievable wear resistance, and a knife blade made from this steel is the hallmark of a luxury product! Once polished, it takes on a beautiful ice-blue colour and can be polished to a mirror finish. We harden this steel to a hardness of around 63 HRC.

Recommended heat treatment:

Hardening: 1150°C

Tempering: 2 x 2 hours at 540°C

Achievable hardness: 60–63 HRC

1.9% C / 0.7% Si / 0.3% Mn / 20% Cr / 1% Mo / 4% V / 0.6% W
