Completely stabilised and coloured selection of Nordic curly birch

The blocks we supply are completely prostabilized and painted throughout. This guarantees shape stability of the handle and non-absorption of water. This is also the biggest advantage of stabilized woods in general. These properties make them particularly suitable for kitchen knives. They are also used for representational and artistic knives because of their high aesthetic value. We strongly caution against the idea of putting a knife with a stabilized wood handle in the dishwasher!! It will cause immediate and irreversible destruction due to high temperature!!!

This blade can be easily machined by both drilling and grinding. It behaves like a semi-hard wood and also gives off the same smell as woodworking, in this case birch. Nevertheless, we recommend cooling the drill bit when drilling deeper holes to avoid activating the filler and clamping the drill bit!
