The burner is made of stainless steel N690. It is vacuum hardened and tempered to 60 HRC. Cutting can be done on a belt sander with frequent cooling and using sharp ceramic belts VSM belts or 3M belts. The use of quenched flux eliminates the time lag between production and quenching. It also minimizes the possibility of deformation during quenching. The surface of the flux is shaved after the sheet has been rolled and it is convenient to remove it by grinding.
The burner has a proven shape for versatile use of the knife in the kitchen. The unique thickness of 1.8mm, together with the superior steel, gives the impression of high cutting power and long blade life. Many users will also appreciate the very low weight of the finished knife.
