Desert ironwood that is so dense it won't stay afloat.
Desert Ironwood (desert ironwood) grows in the southern U.S. and northern Mexico in desert landscapes. It is very hard, has a high density and therefore does not absorb water very well. It is used for knife blades. Its machinability is more complicated than other woods because of its high hardness. It is one of the exclusive knife woods, which have blades made of this wood are sold at higher prices.
