Desert ironwood that is so dense it won't stay afloat.
Desert Ironwood (Desert Ironwood) grows in the southern U.S. and northern Mexico in desert landscapes. It is very hard, has a high density and therefore does not absorb water very well. It is used for knife blades. Because of its high hardness, it is more difficult to work than other woods. It is one of the exclusive woods, and knives with blades made of this wood sell for higher prices.
