Creates a durable blade. It is suitable as a darker component for damascus steel together with steel 1.2767 which we have in our offer. It easily succumbs to corrosion.

Steel- 1.2842/ 19 312 is a high carbon tool steel for use in the manufacture of blades. It achieves a high hardness of 60-64HRC, produces a durable edge, but has the disadvantage of low corrosion resistance. Suitable for damascus for combination with steel 1.2767 which we also offer. The hardening diagram is shown in the pictorial appendix.

Processing plates:
Forging- 850C- 1050C
Hardening- 740- 820C- Oil
Tempering- 150-250C

Steel is shipped sheared, not flattened, surface corrosion and scale may occur.
